Description: The Georgetown County, SC Department of Public Services, Facility Services Division is soliciting sealed bid responses for a contractor to provide specified electrical service upgrades to facilitate renovation of the Historic Georgetown County Courthouse, located at 129 Screven Street, Georgetown, SC. The historic courthouse location houses county government offices which must remain open and functional during County business hours, Monday through Friday. All work will be required to take place during weeknight hours, defined as 6:30PM until 6:30AM, or on weekends. Power must be restored and available each business day on or before 6:30AM. Description: The Georgetown County, South Carolina Department of Public Services is soliciting sealed public bids to award a contract for the paving of certain roads and/or streets with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement materials. Work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2010. Included in the work are three (3) local roads in Georgetown County, totaling 0.88 mile in combined length. Work on the roads will consist primarily of grading, stone base, and asphalt paving for two lanes, with a total asphalt width of 20 feet. Improvements must be completed within eight (8) months after contract award. There are no published plans or drawings associated with this project. The requirements and specifications are listed for each road segment and it will be the responsibility of the contractor to construct to the standards as provided. Bidder must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of the following described work in connection with the construction or improvements at Gervais Way, between Beaumont Drive and terminus; Greenfield Road, between Kings River Road and Westfield Drive; and Willcox Avenue, between Baker Avenue and Murrells Inlet Road. The identified products are a "Brand Name or Pre-Approved Equal" requirement for this solicitation. Please do not call or request substitutions for windows made of steel, aluminum, or products approximating the appearance of wood. These are not acceptable to the ARB overseeing the historic area.
