DESCRIPTION: The Georgetown County Public Works Division, under the Public Services Department, is soliciting sealed offers to procure Steel Slag Aggregate Material, Term Agreement for the County to use in road building projects. This will be a term agreement for a one (1) year base period, with the possibility of up to four (4) additional one-year renewal terms based upon satisfactory vendor performance. Georgetown County will place purchase orders as needed. The County has utilized steel slag in road construction for approximately twenty (20) years. Georgetown County will utilize County public works trucks to pick up the material on a weekly basis. The maximum acceptable range is a fifty (50) mile radius from Georgetown that trucks would travel one-way to pick up material. Georgetown County intends to purchase 20,000 tons of processed Steel Slag over the next 12 months. Material will be picked up by the county or county designated contractor at the processing location.
