DESCRIPTION: The Georgetown County, SC Fire/EMS District is soliciting to receive offers for the purchase of one (1) used fire apparatus for location at the Sandy Island Fire Station. Sandy Island is a 9,000 acre island located between the Waccamaw and Great Pee Dee Rivers. With an estimated population of 120 the island is only accessible by private boat or by chartered barge for equipment delivery. Unimproved roads dictate either a 4x4 or AWD drive train.
