Youth soccer
Georgetown County youth soccer for boys and girls emphasizes the basics of the sport, along with good teamwork and sportsmanship. The season runs from September through November with weekly games and practices.
Age: 5-6 Co-ed, 7-8 Co-ed, 9-10 boys & girls, 11-12 Boys, 11-15 girls, 13-17 Co-ed.
Date: Weekdays
Place: Andrews, Kensington, Waccamaw Elementary, and Pleasant Hill.
Fee: $3.00
Note: Age control date is November 30, 2008
Cheerleading
Georgetown County cheerleading for girls emphasizes the basics of the sport, along with good teamwork and sportsmanship. The season runs from September through November with weekly games and practices.
Age: 8-10, 11-12
Date: Weekdays
Place: Andrews High School, Waccamaw High School, Pleasant Hill, Choppee, Sampit, and Georgetown High School.
Fee: $3.00

Place: Local Gyms: Howard, Winyah, Andrews, Choppee, Pleasant Hill Elementary, Waccamaw Elementary and Middle
Fee: $3.00

Winyah Bay Fishing and Observation Pier
Open Daily, 6 a.m. - Midnight
Fish free from the end of the severed half of the old Lafayette bridge and catch spottail, flounder, sea trout, croaker, and more.
Hobcaw Point Observation Pier enjoy the day eating lunch under the gazebo or star gazing at night.
