Jerry Oakley – District 1

Jerry Oakley resides in Litchfield with his wife, Kim and daughter, Emily. The Oakley’s are members of Belin United Methodist Church, Murrells Inlet. Mr. Oakley attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and presently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Ocean Ventures, Ltd., in Murrells Inlet. Mr. Oakley previously served as Chairman of the Georgetown County Board of Zoning Appeals; President of the Georgetown County Visitors Bureau; and Vice Chairman of the Georgetown County Recreation Commission. Mr. Oakley presently serves as Vice Chair of Georgetown County Council.

Ron Charlton - District 2

Ron Charlton resides with his wife Bonnie in the City of Georgetown. He attended Business Administration Courses at the University of Kansas. Elected in 1996, Mr. Charlton is now serving his second term on County Council. He owns Southern Cable Communications. He is a member of VFW Post 6444 and serves as a trustee. Additionally, Mr. Charlton serves on the Salvation Army Board, the Red Cross Board, the Keep Georgetown Beautiful Board, and the Four Columns Foundation. Mr. Charlton previously served as Chairman of County Council.

Leona Myers Miller resides with her husband, George C. Miller II in the Sampit Area of Georgetown County. They have two sons, Petty Officer 3rd Class George C. Miller III and Gearrett C. Miller. Mrs. Miller attended Horry-Georgetown Tec. She is the Marketing Director for Prince George HealthCare and Rehab. The Millers attend the Church of Christ. Mrs. Miller currently serves on the board of Georgetown County First Steps.

Lillie Johnson - District 4

Lillie Jean Johnson – District 4
Term of Service: January 2013-December 2016

Lillie Jean Johnson, a native of Georgetown, South Carolina, and mother of one son, currently resides in the City of Georgetown. Having earned degrees from Allen University and the University of South Carolina, Ms. Johnson retired as a high school teacher from the school system in 1994. She is a member of Arnett A. M. E. Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a lifetime member of the NAACP. Ms. Johnson presently serves on the board of the YMCA and CAAHO; she is also a hospice volunteer. Ms. Johnson previously served on Georgetown County Council, and is returning to represent County Council District 4 after an eight year absence. Ms. Johnson also previously served on the City of Georgetown Planning Commission, and as a board member of the Waccamaw EOC.

Austin Beard – District 5

Austin Beard resides in the Town of Andrews. He is an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Andrews. Mr. Beard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Baptist College of Charleston (Charleston Southern University). Mr. Beard is employed as Manager of the Anderson Brothers Bank in Georgetown. He has previously served on the Georgetown County Planning Commission, the Georgetown County Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission, and on the Georgetown County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors.

Bob Anderson – District 6

Bob Anderson resides with his wife Karol in Pawleys Island. He has two children and four grandchildren. He is a member of Saint Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church. Mr. Anderson holds a B.S. degree from East Tennessee State University and is a past president of Iota Omicron chapter the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is the owner of Anderson Home Design and Sales Inc. and prior to that spent thirty plus years in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing management, and program management with The Magnavox Corp., Sperry Univac Inc., and The Raytheon Co. While working in the corporate world, he spent his leisure time coaching and managing youth sports.

Johnny Morant - District 7

Johnny Morant – District 7

Johnny Morant resides with his wife Janice in the Plantersville Section of Georgetown County. They have two children and two grandchildren. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Savannah State University and a law degree from the University of Illinois. He is a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Morant is a partner in the law firm of Morant and Morant, LLC. He formerly served as Chairman of Waccamaw Workforce Investment Board. He presently serves on Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments Board, First Federal Advisory Board, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Mr. Morant currently serves as Chairman of Georgetown County Council.
