Department Functions:

The Coroner’s office is responsible for investigating deaths that occur in the emergency rooms of the local hospitals and patients that die in the hospital within 24 hours of hospital admission.
The Coroner also is responsible for death investigations involving homicides, suicides, accidents, and all sudden and unexplained deaths where ever they occur in this county and all its municipalities.

Additional Information:

The Coroner is active in assisting the local law enforcement in reducing traffic related death.
