Provide project management support and oversight to countywide capital project planning and implementation. Projects relate to additions and improvements to regional and community parks, stormwater and roadway improvements, beach access and boat landing improvements, and land acquisition and development. The division coordinates to provide oversight to projects during design and construction phases through close-out.

Q: Does the community have any input into the planning for local parks and drainage improvements?
A: Community input meetings are held during the course of project planning and implementation. This is an iterative process, whereby the plans and objectives are fine tuned to provide for each community base.
Q: What are the primary sources of funds to undertake these projects?
A: Funding comes from many sources. Two of the major funding sources are the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, and the S.C. Department of Transportation.
